A Journey of Faith: Our First Trip to South Africa
In 1999, we embarked on our first mission trip to South Africa. While ministering in KwaZulu Natal, we received multiple calls from Pastor Stanford Mamize, eagerly confirming our visit to Salubinza. Pastor Stanford is a visionary leader with a deep passion for planting a network of churches in the Mpumalanga province.
His dedication was evident in the incredible effort put forth by the local community. Women and children spent two weeks leveling the ground and constructing a tent for the crusade—without bulldozers or heavy machinery, only the loving labor of those anticipating God’s presence. To the natural eye, it was just raw poles and tarps, but when God moved, no tabernacle could have been more glorious.
A Powerful Move of God
The first night, over 200 people gathered; by the second, more than 300 came, many walking miles and standing for hours in the rain. Throughout the crusade, hundreds were set free as they made professions of faith.
Miracles and healings were too numerous to count, but one moment stood out. A word of knowledge was given about those battling deep, suicidal depression. About 50 people came forward for deliverance, including children as young as seven or eight. One little girl left an unforgettable impression. Years of abuse had crushed her spirit, and she could not even lift her eyes. As I prayed, she collapsed in tears, releasing the weight of her oppression. I held her as I would my own daughter. When she left that night, her radiant smile could have lit up the entire tent.
A Legacy of Faith
For over 25 years, we have partnered with Pastor Stanford in ministry. Today, he oversees 12 thriving churches, and the humble site where we first erected that tent now stands as a beautiful church building, serving and transforming lives in the Salubinza area.
God’s faithfulness continues, and we are honored to be part of this journey of hope, restoration, and revival.
