Day 1 – February 11
We have just celebrated the first night of our second revival at Sand River South Africa. I first visited Sand River in 2002 with a tent outreach and we had a powerful time in the Lord.
For this series of meetings we intended to use a larger venue in Sand River but the original venue was not available. Apparently, the local chief wanted too much money to allow us permission to use the sports field, so we held the revival on the church grounds. Smaller but good. With a light misting, the attendance was less than last week’s meetings, partly because of the site and partly because of the rain. Still, there were about 50 people who braved the weather to attend.
Tonight’s message was from Hosea 10:12, Break up Your Fallow Ground. Again, the emphasis was that God wants the Holy Spirit to rain on His people but the soil of our hearts must be prepared. There was a light mist throughout the message but just as we got to the part about the Holy Spirit raining on His people, the rains started coming down harder. God is good.
